Import a WinMail.dat (or other *.dat) File

What is a "Winmail.dat" (sometimes "Att...dat") File

You get a an e-mail message: The body (=message part) has text and there is one attachmment named Winmail.dat or Att...dat. Usually you cannot open this attachment.

This is a file that Microsoft e-mail programs sometimes send out. It contains in encoded form (called TNEF encoded) the whole e-mail message, including all attachments (if there are any). InstantCrypt can often extract these attachments for you and decrypt them, if they are indeed encrypted.
