Decrypt a Text


For  this, you need text that is encrypted with your key. If you have this, do this:


  1. Copy the encrypted text where you found it (Ctrl+C).
  2. Go into the main form of the program.
    1. Open a new message page by clicking on the New button (Open New Message) .
    2. Paste the encrypted text into the lower window (Ctrl+V).
    3. Click on the Decrypt button.
    4. Enter your passphrase into the passphrase window.
    5. The decrypted text appears in the upper window, provided you have the key that allows the decryption.

Done.

Note: Decryption will not work if the text is not encrypted to your key, even if you encrypted it yourself!
